🛠️

Crop Right in the Browser

Open a WebP, drag the orange box, and see the cut update at once. Nothing is sent to a server, so the edit stays on this page.

🖼️

Type Exact Pixel Size

Enter Width and Height when you need a fixed frame such as 1200 × 750. The box snaps to those pixels without stretching the photo.

📐

Lock a Useful Ratio

Keep 1:1, 16:9, 4:3, 3:2, or 8:5 while you resize, or leave Custom and shape the box freely for banners and thumbnails.

💻

Works on Phone and Desktop

No desktop installer. Use the same CavaKit page on Windows, Mac, Linux, or a phone browser with touch drag on the crop handles.

Free Crop and Download

No signup, no watermark, and a 20 MB total load limit. Rename the file, pick WebP, JPG, or PNG, then save it to your device.

Photo Stays on Your Device

The crop runs in JavaScript on your machine. CavaKit never stores the image, so private photos do not sit on a remote disk.

How to Crop a WebP File Here

  1. Tap Choose photos and add WebP, JPG, or PNG files. Any number can load if the combined size stays within 20 MB.
  2. Drag the orange rectangle, or type Width, Height, Position X, and Position Y. Lock a ratio or pick a social size if you need a fixed shape.
  3. Tap Crop and show size, check the preview and KB target, then tap Download.

Live Crop Box with X and Y Controls

Move the frame by dragging it, or punch in Position X and Position Y when you need the same cut on several photos. Corner handles resize the box. The preview on the right updates after each change, so you can judge the frame before you save.

Frames for Posts, Headers, and Recipe Cards

Lock 1:1 for profile tiles, 16:9 for YouTube or blog covers, or keep a custom box for CavaKit recipe photos around 1200 × 750. After the crop, use Quality and Max width to land near 80–150 KB so pages stay light without a blurry export.

Bulk Upload with a 20 MB Total Cap

Add many photos in one go. The tool keeps loading while the combined size stays inside 20 MB. A file that would pass the cap is skipped, then the next files are still checked. Thumbnails stay in one scrolling row so the page width does not jump.

Social Size and Aspect Presets

Pick WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, or Telegram sizes, or lock 1:1, 16:9, 4:3, 3:2, and 8:5. The crop box follows that frame. Custom stays available when you want free Width and Height.

WebP, JPG, PNG, Quality, and Max Width

Keep WebP or switch to JPG and PNG. Quality sets how hard the file is compressed. Max width only shrinks a large crop. A small photo is not enlarged, so the download stays sharp at the real pixel size.

Auto Crop All and Batch Download

Auto Crop All runs on the photos you already loaded — no extra files. Then use Download One by One, Select Images and Download, Download All as ZIP, or Download Separately. One photo still shows only the normal Download button.

Full Photo Kept in the Frame

Auto crop tries to keep people, products, and drawings inside the box. It does not send photos to a face-detection server. A tight 577 × 433 window is not forced on every picture. Each file gets its own crop from its own size.

Clean WebP Cuts for Faster Pages

🌐

Web-Ready Crop, Not a Stretch

Cut the subject first, then cap Max width. The tool does not squash the picture to force a size, so edges stay sharp on blogs, menus, and product grids.

🧩

Small File After the Cut

WebP already packs well. Pair the crop with the Quality slider and aim for 80–150 KB when you want a page that loads quickly on mobile data.

📐

Ratios for UI and App Assets

Use 1:1 for avatars, 4:3 for cards, 16:9 for hero strips, and 8:5 when a wide banner needs extra height. Custom stays open for odd layouts.

🖨️

Local Edit, Clear Download Name

Name the file before you save, pick WebP, JPG, or PNG, and keep the work on this tab. Reset restores a wide default box if the frame goes off the photo.

WebP Crop Questions

Short answers for the CavaKit cropper on this page.

1. How do I crop a WebP image on this page?

Choose a photo, place the orange box on the area you want, then tap Crop and show size. If the KB and pixels look right, tap Download. The cut is made in the browser.

2. Is the WebP cropper free to use?

Yes. There is no account wall and no watermark on the saved file. You can crop and download as many times as you need.

3. How can I finish a crop faster?

Type Width and Height instead of dragging, or lock a ratio so the box keeps one shape. On a phone, drag the box with a finger and skip the number fields if you only need a rough cut.

4. How do I crop WebP for Instagram, YouTube, or a blog?

Pick 1:1 for square posts, 16:9 for covers, or type the exact pixels your platform lists. Then lower Quality or Max width until the file sits in a size your site can load quickly.

5. What actually changes when I crop a WebP?

Pixels outside the box are dropped. The remaining area can be resized by Max width and recompressed by the Quality slider. The original file on your disk is not overwritten.

6. Can I resize and crop in one step?

Yes. Set the crop box first, then set Max width. A 2400 px wide cut with Max width 1200 exports at 1200 px on the long side and keeps the same ratio.

7. Are there crop limits besides file size?

The load cap is 20 MB total for all selected photos, not a count limit. The preview box stays one size and only scales the view. Download uses the original pixels. Small photos are not enlarged. The box cannot leave the photo edges.

8. Does crop convert WebP to JPG or PNG?

Only when you change Format. Leave it on WEBP to keep WebP. Choose JPG for older apps or PNG when you need a lossless still with no extra WebP support.

9. Will crop make the WebP look soft?

A simple cut does not blur the picture. Softness appears if Quality is set very low or if Max width is far below the crop size. Raise Quality if the preview looks muddy.

10. Can I crop on a phone without installing an app?

Yes. Open this CavaKit page in the phone browser, pick a photo, and drag the box. Corner handles are enlarged for touch so you can resize without a mouse.

11. How do I set a custom crop size and position?

Use Crop Rectangle for Width and Height and Crop Position for X and Y. X starts from the left edge, Y from the top. Aspect Ratio Custom lets those numbers stay independent.

12. Does the downloaded WebP include a watermark?

No. The export is only the cropped pixels plus the format and quality you chose. The Photo name field only sets the download filename.

13. How do I tidy a crop after the first pass?

Nudge X and Y by a few pixels, switch ratio if the frame feels tight, then tap Crop and show size again. Use Reset when you want a wide default box back on the same photo.
